STUDY OR VOLUNTEER OVERSEAS IN YOUR UNIVERSITY BREAK

Do it! Honestly the support is amazing and there are so many things to do on a daily basis! You get to experience the culture and I don’t think I’ve ever made so many friends in 3 weeks as a solo traveller before. Every place you visit is so different and has a unique history, and even the courses manage to educate you in their own way about the culture, which is great! I would have done it for longer if I knew how good it was!

There were many highlights that I experienced during the program. All of the game drives were incredible as there were plenty of opportunities to sight a range of animals South Africa has to offer. Put your hand up to do everything, even the manual work, as you will certainly gain something from every experience and have a great time while doing so. You will also get to meet many great people from all over the world.

Go for it! You will have the time of your life, meet people from all over the world and make some beautiful friends! You will learn so much so quickly, and you will be amazed about what you can achieve as a team 🙂

The beautiful backdrop of Barcelona [was the best part]! The history of the city combined with the gorgeous Mediterranean weather created the perfect location to live and study. Be brave and just go for it, even it seems like it’s out of your comfort zone, the experience is definitely worth it and you’ll have the time of your life.

It is an amazing opportunity. Do it! You get the opportunity to partake in a diversity of projects and feel a part of the local communities who are so welcoming. Everything [was the best part]! From the staff, lifelong friendships with fellow volunteers, the projects, the communities and the weekend activities.

I thoroughly enjoyed learning Japanese. I arrived not knowing a single word and left at an intermediate level. We covered lots of content in-depth and [our instructor] was incredibly diligent and patient in teaching us. I found [the] university to be very welcoming and I felt very comfortable there.

To anyone considering this program I highly recommend it. The whole trip and program was incredible, and an experience I will never forget. Probably the best part was just how rewarding it felt to be saving these turtles and knowing that my actions were having a positive impact on the environment and the future. Also all the new people and friends I met on this trip was amazing, couldn’t have done it without them. This trip confirmed for me that this is the kind of thing I want to be doing in the future.

Do it! The experience will change your life! You will be touched by the locals and their lives, and you will make some incredible new friends! For me, I loved getting to know the country and the local people beyond the aspects of a tourist trip. Living locally, and speaking with many different people, I began to develop a real connection and bond with the locals and their environment. It has honestly been life changing.

Do it, it will be more life changing than you could ever imagine. It was honestly the most amazing experience and one that’s going to help me with future employment. Getting the hands on experience and seeing what it’s like to work as a professional [was the best part].

Overall incredible trip and I’m so grateful I had this experience. Made some incredible friends while learning so much about a new culture. Wouldn’t trade my experience for anything.

Absolutely do it. It was an amazing experience – I learnt so much both educationally and personally, and the landscapes and native species of New Zealand are incredible.

Honestly, just do it! There is not one thing that happened that I was displeased with. The best part about my program abroad was the people that I met whilst I was there. The campus was stunning, the accommodation and food provided far exceeded my expectations, and it was located close to the tube.

Just give everything a go! Everyday has new challenges and experiences, but you’re surrounded by like-minded people and the supportive staff so it is the perfect opportunity to talk to people, try new things and step out of your comfort zone. It is a really rewarding experience that allows you to meet new people, make a difference and learn along the way.

Just do it! Jump in and enjoy every second – it goes so quickly! I highly recommend a Spanish course… you learn SO much and classes are so much fun! Getting out into the city is the perfect way to practice Spanish and study!

[The best part was] when we got the chance to swim with the dolphins. It was the most amazing experience I’ve ever had! They were so playful and curious! I loved my time in Zanzibar. I’m not exaggerating when I say it was one of the best experiences of my life!
