Welcome Griffith University Students

CISaustralia is proud to support Griffith University and their students. CISaustralia and Griffith University signed a formal partnership agreement in 2017 and have worked closely to send qualified Griffith students abroad since 2015, on many different programs to many different locations. This partnership enables students greater access to our overseas programs and ensures they have the best possible experience abroad! We are very proud of our close and long-standing partnership. We take great pleasure in providing high-quality customer service and in supporting both students and academic staff to develop long-term sustainable programs abroad, which are most importantly for academic credit.

Make the most of the experience abroad… Just live in the moment, see and do as much as you can and take plenty of photos 🙂 Barcelona is a beautiful city! The activities and engagement with other students [was the best part of the program].

July in Barcelona, Spain

DO IT! You will not have any regrets. Exploring Barcelona and all the excursions were lots of fun, however the best part of the program was the actual course I studied (Contemporary Spanish Society: From Dictator to Democracy). The Professor was so knowledgable and I found the subject super interesting. We also went on a number of excursions to put in context what we had been learning in class. I highly recommend this subject to any history nerds like myself.

July in Barcelona, Spain

On a snow day, the group of all of us walked to the MOMA. We then walked to Times Square. It was cold, windy, and snowed like a whole foot that day but it was our best bonding opportunity and we had such a good day.

January in New York City, USA

Was such a good program experience, I would highly recommend. I learnt so much in the industry of marketing and entrepreneurship. I have been equipped with skills to be comfortable and successful in starting my own business and pitching to a client. I can’t pick one [best part]. The people I met, the experiences we shared, the places we visited and the sites we saw. It was also so great to live within New York city for a month, being immersed in the fast paced, exciting culture! Take every opportunity you can get!

Industry Immersion Program – New York City, USA

Don’t be afraid to take a chance on this program. Coming from someone who was completely terrified of being away from her family, I wasn’t homesick once! I was so immersed in the beautiful people that I met and the city I was in – I never wanted to leave! The classes and campus are amazing and you’ll meet so many lovely people! Just don’t be scared to take a chance – because if I hadn’t, I would have missed out on an experience that has ultimately changed my life! Thank you so much for this experience CIS!

July in Los Angeles, USA at UCLA

I was greatly impressed with [CISaustralia’s] organisation… Extraordinary courtesy and care were accorded to both me and the students, and to the academic requirements of the program. Much of the success in terms of academic learning and developing strong personal relations within and beyond the student cohort was due to the competency and attention of the staff. The overwhelming level of student satisfaction was extremely gratifying. I have no reservations in recommending CIS.

It is an amazing opportunity. Do it! You get the opportunity to partake in a diversity of projects and feel a part of the local communities who are so welcoming. Everything [was the best part]! From the staff, lifelong friendships with fellow volunteers, the projects, the communities and the weekend activities.

Community Healthcare and Development in Zambia

Do it all! Go on all the excursions and evening meetups, it’s a great way to meet new people. I am so glad I did this program! I learnt a lot about the local culture and myself, made life long friends and grew professionally. This experience pushed me out of my comfort zone and holds a special place in my heart. I will definitely be returning to Barcelona.

Intern in Spain

Having the opportunity to experience working life in China while having the ability to greatly improve my Chinese [was the best part]! Get out of your host city, experience the real China cities that are so close to Shanghai!

Intern in China

I am so, so glad I did this! I have always wanted to study abroad, and while my time was short, I had an amazing experience. I wouldn’t change it for the world and recommend it to everyone!

January in Florence, Italy

Learning about different cultures and meeting new people [was the best part]. Don’t be afraid to try new things, studying in a different country is such a valuable experience that you can only do a few times in your life.

January in Los Angeles, USA at UCLA Extension

Just do it! This program is unbelievable. From the support received before going to meeting [the on-site staff] there. I would recommend anyone regardless of background or degree to do it. I was a HR major and I have learnt more than I could have ever imagined. You make life long friendships all whilst receiving credit points for your degree. This program is an investment on your future and because I have completed this program, I now have stood out when applying for graduate positions. I couldn’t recommend this trip enough because of the exposure I had.

Industry Immersion Program – New York City, USA

Being in China was always the best part for me, cheap food, great people, awesome country. Being able to live the working life in Shanghai… was amazing.

Intern in China

Go for it, with the support of University and the NCP grant you will have all you need. And CIS along with [the on-site team] will be there every step of the way. Couldn’t have hoped for a better experience. The company was very welcoming and constructive. Worldly experiences make you stronger.
