Welcome Western Sydney University Students

CISaustralia is proud to support Western Sydney University and their students. CISaustralia and the University signed a formal partnership agreement in 2014 and ever since have worked closely to send qualified WSU students abroad, on many different programs to many different locations. This partnership enables students greater access to our overseas programs and ensures they have the best possible experience abroad! We are very proud of our close and long-standing partnership with WSU. We take great pleasure in providing high-quality customer service and in supporting both students and academic staff to develop long-term sustainable programs abroad, which are most importantly for academic credit.

Great experience with local people [such as] host family [and] co-workers. Wonderful family who cooked wonderful meals and made me feel very welcome. Constant support from the local company. I felt happy approaching with any questions I had. Overall I had a great time, I feel like I got what I wanted out of the trip and I am sad to leave.

Intern in Vietnam

Do it 100% and you will be grateful you did. The people are amazing, the cities are beautiful and rich in history as well as the food is to die for. Loved the [excursions], they provided more exploration of the country and took me places I would not have thought to have gone to. Thank you CIS for providing me this incredible opportunity, I will remember this trip forever.

July in Florence, Italy

Get ready to have the experience of a lifetime… Learning does not only happen in classrooms, it happens when you’re out there – in the streets, restaurants and the markets. You will cherish this moment forever! Being able to experience a different part of the world with people who have come from all over the world [was the best part].

January in Morocco, Spain and France

Do it! Honestly the support is amazing and there are so many things to do on a daily basis! You get to experience the culture and I don’t think I’ve ever made so many friends in 3 weeks as a solo traveller before. Every place you visit is so different and has a unique history, and even the courses manage to educate you in their own way about the culture, which is great! I would have done it for longer if I knew how good it was!

July in Florence, Italy

I would say the best part was the independence I experienced abroad. Being able to do everything independently allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of the Spanish culture. The activities that I did with my roommates gave us a chance to learn a bit more about how the Spanish interact [and] how they go about their everyday life.

January in Barcelona, Spain

The diversity and location of the program [was the best part]. Make the most of the time you have with the people you meet and do things out of your comfort zone.

January in France, Italy and Greece

Be relaxed, open minded and willing to experience a completely new environment and culture. There is so much to take away from the program if you’re simply open to it. [The best part was] experiencing Thailand more intensively and connecting with people personally. We had the opportunity to visit both remote villages and the developed city of Bangkok and interact with all kinds of people.

Leadership and Cultural Development in Thailand

Go into the trip with an open mind and be willing to experience and try new things! The experience was once in the lifetime and I would recommend more students to do study abroad tours like this! CISaustralia was an amazing support system that I wouldn’t have been able to attend this trip without them 🙂

January in France, Italy and Greece

CISaustralia [has] provided an excellent level of support… The CISaustralia team is responsive and flexible and work closely with WSU to deliver good student and program outcomes. CISaustralia has been actively engaged with our outbound student mobility program, and have successfully recruited WSU students to a number of their Summer and Winter short courses. We are very satisfied with the performance and support provided and would not hesitate in recommending CISaustralia services.

Do it. Being with so many other Australian students I’ve made a lot of friends that I plan on keeping contact with. The city and experience was amazing, but the people made it really special.

January in Los Angeles, USA at UCLA Extension

Had loads of fun. Being able to study the same thing I would in my normal university but in another environment was thrilling and made study more exciting. To be able to study during the week and travel on weekends was really awesome.

January in Dunedin, New Zealand

It will change your life, so take the plunge and you’ll never regret it! Making friends from all over the world and experiencing Scotland as a local [was the best part]. I cannot thank CISaustralia enough for making this experience so easy and giving me the opportunity of a lifetime. Everything was perfect.

July in Stirling, Scotland

All aspects of the program were fabulous. I believe the best part was class and lectures, they enabled students to have a deeper understanding of the locations we where visiting. It made the experience a whole lot more meaningful and proactive in getting its content across to students. Nothing beats interactive learning!

January in Morocco, Spain and France

I would highly, highly recommend doing an overseas experience while at uni – preferably in a country very different to your own, and living in homestay accommodation. The soft skills you will learn during this experience will be invaluable to your degree. Getting to live in a homestay with a Filipino family and fully immerse myself in the culture is an experience that was second to none.

Community Development in the Philippines

Easily the best part of the program was the new friends I have made. I particularly enjoyed the Kimono wearing and being able to walk through the streets of Japan looking like someone dressed from the Edo period. It was a very surreal and exciting experience.

January in Tokyo, Japan

Being able to experience another country for the first time was amazing. I enjoyed being there long enough to be able to feel less like a tourist. The people I met on this trip were all amazing and there was so much on-site help from equally amazing teachers/program directors.

January in Tokyo, Japan

Do it! You will not regret it! The best part of the program was meeting my new friends and getting a taste of living in New York City. Thank you CISaustralia for this life changing experience. This challenge has shown me how brave and capable I am both socially and academically. I’m up for round two!

January in New York City, USA

Prepare yourself for a fun filled adventure. You will learn a lot about yourself in a positive way. Thank you so much for giving me this opportunity to experience New York… I had the best time and it was one of the best memories I have made.

Industry Immersion Program – New York City, USA

DO IT! DON’T THINK JUST DO IT. All my hesitation and nerves were for nothing because it was one of the best experiences of my life.

July in London, England

Don’t overthink. Just do it. You won’t regret it and it’ll change your life. Meeting and interacting with the locals both during class and outside of class [was the best part]. Step out of your comfort zone and try ALL the food because it’s amazing. Interact with the people around you in your program because they are the most amazingly like-minded people you’ll ever meet and you just might make a friend for life! [Thank you to] CISaustralia for giving me the opportunity to take on this incredible life experience.
