Program Overview

Our Industry Immersion Program (IIP) in London is a unique opportunity for a limited group of students to engage in an intensive industry immersion internship over three weeks in July. This program will focus on and expose students to key academic business topics in international business and marketing while combining practical skill-building, peer to peer learning, personal mentorship, and a lot of fun!

Students will gain first-hand international business experience working directly with global companies in various stages of international development. The program is designed for professional and personal development that combines academic and practical life with business skills. Each week will be dedicated to a new client and students will work in teams to create and deliver an effective international development strategy. Not only will students learn the key skills needed to participate in a global market, they will also hone their professional qualities through coaching sessions, client meetings, business visits and formal pitches.

To round out the experience, students will get an insider’s look at international business in action in London by going behind the scenes and meeting industry professionals in businesses across the city. Past program participants have visited companies such as the Google Campus in London, BP, Social Chain, London Legacy Development Corporation (Olympic Park), British Council, Crowdcube, STA Travel and The Telegraph, among many more.

“Creativity – Confidence – Leadership” – Personal skills that you should acquire by the end of the program:

There will be challenges each day that you will need to practically solve and begin to use some of the communication tools you have learned during the online sessions. The outcome? A clear in-depth understanding of the importance of self-brand, modern workplace environments and an introduction to different sectors and industries. Learn how to nail first impressions and build a stunning professional online profile ready to blow your employers and recruitment managers away!
