Health & Safety

At CISaustralia we know our greatest responsibility is to ensure that we develop and offer programs that are safe, while encouraging our students to enjoy and explore the many opportunities that life overseas offers. 

Here’s what we do to best ensure our students safety and health while on our programs:

  • Highly trained, well-educated, well-travelled and passionate staff 
  • Formal agreements in place with the majority of Australian Universities and as such have been approved by these Universities as part of a rigorous due diligence process 
  • Detailed pre-departure guides
  • Detailed pre-departure session via phone, online webinar or face-to-face
  • On-site orientation
  • Careful choice of program partners and locations – involving risk audits and formal agreements 
  • Mandatory International Medical / Accident Insurance / Travel Insurance
  • 24/7 Emergency Assistance – in-country and in Australia 
  • On-site support representatives (Site Coordinators / Site Directors)
  • News, updates and advice from the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade – Smartraveller
  • Monitoring international media and events in combination with our US and other overseas offices

All CISaustralia students are requested as a priority to register with Smartraveler as part of the CISaustralia enrolment process, which is administered by the Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, prior to departure on a program. This allows the government to contact students or find them in an emergency – whether it is a natural disaster, civil disturbance or family emergency. All students will be provided with CISaustralia emergency response team contact numbers prior to departure.
